The Laws of the Universe and Their Relationship with Ranks
About 300 years ago, Newton presented his three laws of motion, which became a fundamental reference for understanding the movement of celestial and earthly bodies. These laws continued to dominate physical thought until Einstein introduced the theory of relativity, which drastically contradicted Newton’s conclusions. He also emphasized that the speed of light is constant and that time could be considered a fourth dimension, which radically changed our view of the universe.
In the context of these scientific theories, the Quranic references affirm the differentiation of human ranks and the variation in their knowledge. Allah says in the Quran: “We have raised some of you above others in rank,” highlighting the differences in humans in faith, knowledge, and spirit. This distinction is linked to a new scientific theory showing that human and divine knowledge are connected by intricate links. This interpretation leads us to conclusions that show that divine sciences, such as the sciences of Sufism, contribute to opening broader realms of knowledge.
The Brain: Unlimited Capacities
One of the intriguing questions posed by scientists is: how much of the human brain does an average person use? The truth is that the brain is a complex network of neurons, containing hundreds of billions of nerve cells called neurons. But what happens when the brain cannot absorb or process certain information even though it is stored in it? This is due to the presence of “synaptic gaps” that hinder the proper transfer of information.
However, when we look at the brain’s unlimited ability to store information, we find that it can store the equivalent of 90 million volumes of knowledge. From here, we can conclude that there are individuals whom Allah has blessed with the extraordinary ability to use this brain completely.
Outer and Inner Sciences
The sciences of the way, as explained by Sheikh Muhammad al-Kasnazani (may Allah sanctify his soul), are some of the highest sciences acquired through companionship with the sheikhs and walking in their spiritual path. These sciences enable a person to reach deeper dimensions of knowledge and spirituality, and it is believed that they enhance the ability of a human being to use their full intellectual and spiritual potential.
Relativity of Time and Space
The theory of relativity introduced by Einstein radically changed the concepts of time and space. According to this theory, time varies depending on the place in the universe, which prompted scientists to think about the possibility of time travel using “wormholes.” This theory, which may currently be scientifically impossible, opens the door for the possibility that certain people may transcend the familiar limits of time and space, and perhaps this includes the saints and people of high ranks.
Divine Blessing: An Invisible Energy
Energy, as science teaches us, is not created from nothing but is transformed from one form to another. This philosophy applies to most known forms of energy, except for another type of energy, which is the divine blessing, that is difficult for science to measure. It is an invisible force that cannot be detected by modern scientific instruments, yet it exists in the spiritual reality of the believers, especially the saints of Allah. These individuals can use this energy in the places and times that Allah wills.
The Holographic Model of the Universe
The hologram theory allows us to see the universe in three dimensions, where every point in the universe carries information about the entire universe. This indicates that everything in the universe is interconnected, and scientists like “David Bohm” have described it by asserting that particles can communicate at a speed faster than the speed of light. This concept may be similar to how souls intertwine in the deep spiritual system, where the whole connects with the whole, and perhaps this allows “the saints of Allah” to exist in several “copies” of themselves in different places at the same time.
The Annihilation of Creatures in the Divine Essence
The annihilation of creatures in the divine essence means that everything returns to its source. This is a higher rank of annihilation, where creatures become part of the whole. This type of annihilation can happen at different stages, where the seeker starts with annihilation in the Sheikh, then moves to annihilation in the Prophet ﷺ, and then reaches annihilation in Allah.

Everything mentioned above shows that there are individuals who possess special abilities, whether in using the brain fully, transcending time and space, or possessing divine energy. These abilities are granted to the saints of Allah and people of high ranks, who have the ability to benefit from both esoteric and exoteric knowledge.
In conclusion, we must adhere to love and piety, and seek knowledge that brings us closer to Allah, as love for Allah, His Messenger, and His saints forms the path to uprightness and success in this world and the Hereafter.
