Allah Almighty said in His Noble Book: “Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you, only pledge allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. So whoever breaks his pledge, only breaks it to the detriment of his own soul. And whoever fulfills what he has pledged to Allah – He will give him a great reward.” (Al-Fath: 10)
This blessed way descended from Allah to our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), then passed to Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and then branched into two wings. These two wings ultimately met at the hands of Sheikh Ma’ruf al-Karkhi, who became the point of convergence of these two esteemed ways.
The Golden Wing of the Way
From the Hand of Imam Ali to the Hand of Imam Al-Husayn:
The golden wing of the way began with the hand of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), then passed to the hand of Imam Al-Husayn ibn Ali, and then to Imam Zayn al-Abidin, followed by Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, then Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq, Imam Musa al-Kadhim, and from there to Imam Ali al-Ridha, eventually reaching Sheikh Ma’ruf al-Karkhi.
The Second Wing of the Way
From the Hand of Imam Ali to the Hand of Sheikh Al-Hasan Al-Basri:
The second wing of the way began from the hand of Imam Ali, passing through a number of great imams and scholars. It began with the hand of Imam Al-Hasan al-Basri, then to Sheikh Habib al-Ajami, followed by Sheikh Dawood al-Ta’i, then Sheikh Ma’ruf al-Karkhi, and from him to Sheikh Sari al-Saqati, then Sheikh Junayd al-Baghdadi, followed by Sheikh Abu Bakr al-Shibli, and then Sheikh Abdul Wahid al-Yamani. The chain continued through several prominent sheikhs, reaching Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, from him to Sheikh Abdul Razzaq al-Jilani, Sheikh Dawood II, Sheikh Muhammad Gharib Allah, Sheikh Abdul Fattah al-Sayyah, and other scholars.
The Continuation of the Sheikhs’ Chain up to Sheikh Abdul Karim Shah Ksenzan
From Sheikh Abdul Karim Shah Ksenzan to Sheikh Shamsuddin Muhammad Nahro Ksenzan:
This blessed chain in modern times reached Sheikh Abdul Karim Shah Ksenzan, then continued to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Ksenzan, followed by Sheikh Hussein Ksenzan, then Sheikh Abdul Karim Ksenzan, Sheikh Sultan Khalifa Muhammad Muhammad Ksenzan, and eventually to Sheikh Shamsuddin Muhammad Nahro Ksenzan Al-Husseini, who currently leads the ‘Aliyyah Qadriyyah Ksenzan Way worldwide.
