He followed the Qadiri path, which he took from his teacher, Sheikh Muhammad Qasim.
His Contemporaries
He was a companion of Sayed Sheikh Muhammad Al-Nudhahi, the father of Sayedna Sheikh Ismail Al-Walyani, and he traveled to Baghdad where he accompanied him and benefited from his teachings before the year 1126 AH. He also accompanied Sheikh Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Aqilah Al-Makki, the author of the “Musalsalat,” and authored many works on Sufism and special prayers for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He also accompanied Sheikh Hussein Al-Basra’i, who succeeded him in the leadership of the Qadiri path, and Sheikh Al-Mu’ammar Abdul Jalil Al-Ilah Abadi (992 – 1114) for 32 years in the Kankawa area.
His Residence
He resided in Baghdad, then in Makkah Al-Mukarramah for a long time. It is also said that he lived in the village of (Kaku Zakariya), which is located in Hazar Kura, behind Mount Karan, in the Sanandaj region. It was named Al-Khalidiya, then later known as Kaku Zakariya.
His Life and News
Ahmed Jamal mentioned in his poem “The Golden Chain in the Sanad of the Qadiri Path” about his teacher Muhammad Sadiq, saying:
*On the truthful words and actions, we find joy*
*He is called Muhammad, known for goodness*
*From his teacher Qasim, the star of the Imams*
*His virtues spread, surpassing the trees*
*From his teacher, the devoted Al-Fattah*
*He has treasures of divine pleasure in the widest news*
*From the aged Ghareeb Allah, who purified*
*He has high status with a long life span*
*From his teacher, he rose in glory*
*In Baghdad, his fragrance spread with praise*
Also, Sayed Yusuf bin Mulla Abdul Jalil mentioned in the manuscript “Al-Nasr Lil-Awliya” that:
“Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq was one of the four pillars and had control over a quarter of the earth, both on land and sea, east and west. He took the path from Sheikh Muhammad Qasim.”
His Passing
He passed away to the world of truth in approximately the year 1010 AH and was buried near Sayyidah Khadijah Al-Kubra (RA).
